Coastal Outdoor Advertising is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Billboard Installer/Electrical Specialist to join our operations team. This role is primarily focused on the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of digital billboards — including electrical systems, LED technology, and software integration.
In addition to the technical work, this position also supports our installation crew as needed, assisting with billboard vinyl installations, structure maintenance, and outdoor labor. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with physical work in the field.

Key Responsibilities
Digital / Electrical Focus
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for digital billboards (high-voltage circuits, controllers, power supplies, LED modules)
• Troubleshoot electrical and communication issues quickly to minimize downtime
• Work with technical teams to integrate and configure digital signage, controllers, and communication systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure longevity and safety of digital displays
• Comfortable using smart phones, iPads & computers to complete work orders, document jobs & communicate effectively
Billboard Installation Support
• Assist installation crew with vinyl installs, take-downs, extensions, and structural maintenance
• Climb billboard structures and operate bucket trucks to perform work at heights
• Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy tools and materials as needed
• Work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
General Duties
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and safety equipment
• Document all work performed and report job progress/issues to management
• Participate in safety training, compliance courses, and on-call shifts as required
• Monitor plant for quality assurance; check sites and report any issues such as tree blockage, structure issues, aesthetic issues
• Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety devices
Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance work completed by appropriately documenting via the work order/completion reports.
• Provide feedback to management on job progress, challenges, site evaluations and equipment needs.

Experience

• Experience: 3–5 years in electrical work, billboard installation, or related technical field
• Electrical Expertise: Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, power distribution, and electrical safety
• Technical Skills: Experience with LED technology, digital signage software, and networking equipment preferred
• Physical Ability: Confident working at heights, climbing, lifting 50+ lbs, and working outdoors
• Equipment Skills: Experience with bucket trucks (DOT physical required); welding/torch experience a plus
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting ability under pressure
• Work Ethic: Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to long-term growth
• Communications: Excellent communication skills a must
• License: Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
